This position is based in Ontario and subject to the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000. GGS is a division of Pipp Mobile Storage Systems, which is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the United States.

We are seeking anProduction Setup and Fixture Techniciannto support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for setting up machines, building jigs and fixtures, and determining the safest and most efficient way for operators to product structural components.

As thenProduction Setup and Fixture Technician,nyour main duties will include (but not be limited to):

n

n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication details to design, build, and modify jigs and fixtures for repeatable production.n
n
- Setting up saws, drill presses, and rolling machines.n
n
- Defining safe and effective methods for loading and unloading parts.n
n
- Performing first-piece setups and adjustments before production begins.n
n
- Supporting operators and troubleshooting setup related issues.n
n
- Ensuring setups meet safety and quality standards.n

nKey Qualifications:nThe Ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:n

- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering or fabrication drawingsn
n
- Hands-on experience with machine setup and fixturesn
n




- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skillsn
n
- Experience working with saws, drill presses, and rollersn
n
- Solid attention to detail and a safety-focused mindsetn
n
- Manufacturing or fabrication with steel or aluminum preferredn
n
- Post-secondary education in a mechanical or manufacturing field or equivalent hands-on experiencen
