nQuality Assurance Technician, Fortunen

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at our groundfish processing facility in Fortune. This role plays a key part in monitoring daily quality and food safety activities on the production floor, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the delivery of high-quality products.

The Position

nReporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for:n

- Providing technical support related to product specifications, and regulatory requirements
n
- Ensuring compliance with all federal and provincial food safety regulations, as well as corporate quality standards
n
- Performing routine quality checks and testing, including chemical testing as required
n
- Supporting production activities with hands-on involvement,



including occasional lifting, climbing, and bending
n
- Assisting with additional quality assurance and food safety duties as required
n

nQualifications & Experiencen

n
- Diploma or training in Food Technology, or equivalent experience in the seafood or food processing industry
n
- Previous quality assurance experience is considered an asset
n
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office
n
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace
n
- Self-motivated with a solutions-focused mindset and the ability to adapt to change
n
