Contract Overview

nWe are looking for a skilled freelance contractor to support Rocky Mountain Concrete's sales and marketing efforts on a project or retainer basis. This is not a full-time employment position, you will work as an independent contractor, setting your own schedule and working remotely (with occasional on-site collaboration as needed).n

The ideal contractor is someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of deliverables, and produce high-quality work. If you're a freelancer with a portfolio in B2B or trades/construction marketing, we'd love to hear from you.

Scope of Work

nDigital Marketing & Online Presence:n

- Manage and grow RMC's social media presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, including scripting, filming, and editing short-form Reels and video content
n
- Develop and execute a content strategy with a consistent brand voice and visual identity
n




- Identify trending content formats relevant to construction, landscaping, and architecture
n
- Write and publish blog posts covering industry insights, product spotlights, project features, and company updates
n
- Produce and distribute a monthly email newsletter to customers, distributors, and prospects
n
- Perform SEO audits and improvements including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content strategy
n

nSales Support:nn
- Conduct market research on precast concrete, retaining walls, landscape products, and related construction segments
n
- Build and maintain slide decks and presentations for product lines, distributor pitches, and customer-facing materials
n
- Develop sales collateral including product one-pagers, case studies, and line sheets
n
- Support outreach efforts including follow-up communications and proposal preparation

nWhat We're Looking Forn

n
- Proven freelance or contract experience in digital marketing, content creation, or B2B sales support
n
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social media content, especially Instagram Reels, short-form video, or LinkedIn , ideally in trades, construction, or manufacturing
n




- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
n
- Comfortable with design tools (Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides) and able to produce polished, on-brand materials
n
- Self-directed with strong project management, you deliver on time without needing to be managed
n
- Interest in or experience with B2B industries, construction, trades, or manufacturing is a solid plus
n
- Bonus: experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo), video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro), or CMS platforms
n
- Bonus: comfort using AI tools to enhance workflow and efficiency

nContract Detailsn

- Engagement Type: Contract / Freelance, you are not an employee of Rocky Mountain Concrete
n
- Rate: $25–$35/hour depending on experience and scope; flat-rate project pricing also considered
n
- Hours: Flexible, estimated 35–40 hours per week depending on active deliverables
n
- Location: Primarily in-person at our Lumby, BC facility (1569 Shuswap Ave); remote work available on a case-by-case basis
n
- Duration: Initial 3-month engagement with potential to extend based on performance and mutual fit
n
- Invoicing: Contractor invoices bi-weekly or monthly; GST number required
