GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

n

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will architect, develop, and scale high-performance backend systems powering our Digital Aggregate™ platform. This hands-on role requires strong architectural ability, deep SQL expertise, and experience building data-intensive REST APIs. You will thrive in a dynamic startup workplace, contributing to system design and implementation while collaborating closely with our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

n

- Design and implement production-grade REST APIs using FastAPI
n
- Architect clean abstraction layers (domain, services, repositories)
n
- Develop and optimize PostgreSQL data models for analytics-heavy workloads
n
- Write advanced SQL queries (window functions, CTEs, aggregations)
n
- Supporting OLAP-style analytical use cases
n
- Implement workflow orchestration using Temporal or Apache Airflow
n
- Contribute to system performance tuning and scalability strategies
n
- Participate in architectural decision-making
n
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation
n

nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLSn

n
- 4+ years of professional backend development experience in Python
n
- Strong experience building and maintaining REST APIs
n
- Demonstrated understanding of clean architecture and abstraction principles
n




- Advanced SQL proficiency beyond basic CRUD operations
n
- Production experience with PostgreSQL
n
- Experience using SQLAlchemy (2.0 style preferred)
n
- Familiarity with analytical query patterns and OLAP concepts
n
- Experience with asynchronous programming in Python
n
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Hatchet, Celery, etc.)
n
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment
n

nDESIRED SKILLSn

- Experience designing multi-tenant systems
n
- Experience with data-intensive or analytics platforms
n
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration into backend systems

- Experience with containerized deployments (Docker)

- Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
