Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work in the Kitimat General Hospital & Health Centre Emergency Department in Kitimat, British Columbia. Day shifts are 0700 – 1900 (approximately 20-30 patients). Night shifts: 1900 – 0700 (approximately 10 patients).

Schedule:

- Weekday Day 07:00-19:00
- Weekend Day 07:00-19:00
- Weekday Evening 19:00-07:00
- Weekend Evening 19:00-07:00

Rates:

- CCFP Rate: $3,969 - $4,058
- CCFP-EM Rate: $4,370 - $4,459

Additional rates vary by shift and day, with travel and accommodation covered. Travel stipend: $250-$1,500 based on time, up to a maximum of $1,500 per round trip.

Kitimat General Hospital offers acute care, residential care, public health, and community health services, with 24/7 lab and x-ray, and 20 acute care beds, including 2 maternity beds. Services include Emergency, Physiotherapy, Radiology, Laboratory,



Diabetes and Chronic Disease management, Outpatient Community Chemotherapy, Regional Orthopedic Centre, Regional Palliative Care, Mountainview Lodge, and Public Health teams.

Kitimat is located on the Douglas Channel, offering year-round outdoor recreational activities such as mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
