What’s In It For You

nAs a Spa & Massage Practitioner at Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing you are expected to provide exemplary customer service to all guests at all times while maintaining and exceeding the service standards set by Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing. The Spa & Massage Practitioner is responsible for providing massage treatments to the guests, conducting morning stretch classes as well as to care for our spa facilities. Our practitioners work as part of a team and are highly organized, efficient and able to work in a fast paced setting. The responsibilities of the Spa & Massage Practitioner include but are not limited to the following:n

Job Highlights

- Responsible for the daily cleanliness and organization of the facilities: massage rooms, changerooms, yoga room, spa hallway and spa reception area.
n
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and neat work environment at all times; ensure all equipment is in safe working order
n
- Exceed guest expectations by providing personalized, efficient and courteous customer service
n
- Show dedication to making every guest feel welcome in our surroundings
n
- Provide necessary information to compile complete guest records.
n
- Perform various massage treatments ranging from relaxation, deep tissue to hot stone while accommodating guest’s needs and creating individualized experiences.
n
- Providing in-depth knowledge of all products and services available within the Spa
n
- Monitoring and re‑stocking of all massage supplies and products within the Spa
n
- Answering phone calls with excellent etiquette
n
- Lead a stretch or yoga class
n
- Demonstrate safe workplace practices
n
- Operate according to the policies, procedures,



quality standards and services established by the company
n
- Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
n
- Report all concerns related to Engineering/Maintenance, Health and Safety, Security or Suspicious circumstances (including smells/sights and sound) immediately to the appropriate leader.

- Willingness to assist other members of the lodge team when needed
n

Qualifications & Attributes

nn
- Must have the proper credentials and certification for bodywork and massage
n
- Hands‑on experience in the massage industry
n
- 1‑2 years’ experience within the hospitality industry is considered an asset
n
- Able to lead a stretch class or yoga class
n
- Additional language skills are an asset, but not mandatory
n
- Must possess excellent communications, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills and be a team player
n
- Responsible and dependable with a poised and friendly attitude
n
- Must have attention to detail and the ability to multitask
n
- Must be flexible in regards to scheduling and working shifts
n
- Must be able and willing to live and work in a remote setting
n
- Having own transportation is highly recommended
n

- Will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time and lift, bend and reach
