Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Experience
Minimum of seven years’ experience as an electrician, plumber, or electrical/mechanical technologist, with at least five years’ experience in a recognized management capacity.
Must have or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to the area of supervision.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
Manitoba Electrical or Plumbing Journeyman certificate required, or diploma and Accreditation as Certified Engineering Technologist in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Manitoba or Inter-Provincial current and valid Electrical or Plumber Journeyman Certificate, or valid Manitoba accreditation as a Certified Engineering Technologist.
Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated good managerial abilities and valuable interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills essential.
Physical Requirements
Visual and aural acuity and manual dexterity.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
