Position Overview

The City of Mount Pearl is seeking Summer Day Camp Counselors to be part of an exciting and rewarding experience for children in our community. As a Day Camp Counselor, you will work with children of various age groups to lead activities, foster creativity, and ensure a safe and fun setting for all campers. This is a perfect opportunity for people who love working with children and want to contribute to creating memorable summer experiences.

The Ideal Candidate

- Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 30 by June 29, 2026.




- Previous experience working with children/youth or senior adults in a recreational group would be considered an asset.
- Ability to or experience in instructing various sports, outdoor activities, arts/crafts, and low organized games.
- Code of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector Check – Valid within 6 months.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR Level C).
- Standard First Aid.
- HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification (training will be scheduled).
