We are seeking a customer-service-oriented Maintenance & Groundskeeping Specialist to join our campground team. This role is essential for maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our park. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in providing a high-quality setting for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Pool Operations: Manage daily water chemistry testing, cleaning, and preventative maintenance. Ensure the pool area remains in full compliance with Ontario health regulations (O. Reg. 565).
- Waste Management: Handle regular litter removal and the operation of a "honey wagon" for scheduled and on-demand septic pump-outs at guest sites.
- Groundskeeping: Professional lawn care including tractor mowing, weed trimming, edging, and debris collection.
- General Repairs: Execute preventative building maintenance and respond quickly to urgent service requests from campers.
- Safety & Security: Collaborate with the team to ensure the campground remains safe, secure, and welcoming at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
or Pool Operator Level 1 (Required).
- Language Skills: Bilingualism (English/French) is strongly preferred to better serve our guest population.
- Technical Experience: 3+ years of maintenance experience. Prior experience operating a honey wagon or handling septic systems is a significant asset.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding work; must be comfortable with heavy lifting, bending, and kneeling in an outdoor environment.
- Equipment: Proficiency in operating landscape machinery (tractor mowers, trimmers, etc.).

- Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week at least).
- Schedule: 5 days per week. Weekend availability is required based on park needs and peak guest volume.
- Compensation: Hourly rate + Holiday Pay + Vacation Pay.
