GForce is in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our small but dynamic office team! As a GForce team member you will help our team make GForce an outstanding place to work. Your role and skills include:
- Entry of project vendor information into multiple IT platforms (Quickbooks, WrightPlan, Office 365)
- Process vendor invoices for accounts payable preparation
- Assemble, verify and perform calculations for invoices to be completed for payment
- Obtain and clarify proper information and/or data and verify discrepancies to resolve billing issues
- Check vendor files for any previous payments and assigned credits
- Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
- Maintain and file copies of invoices or correspondence as necessary
- Generate and prepare financial statements and reports and other records
- Support the Accounting Department by performing assigned accounting and clerical tasks
- Answer incoming GForce calls and greet visitors at the reception desk
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Be an active team member adhering to project timelines and expectations
- 40-hour work week

Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 2 years of experience in an AP role, including basic knowledge of accounting procedures and principles an asset
- Strong computer/data entry skills – Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with QuickBooks an asset
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle large volumes of data
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional and ethical behaviour, ability to handle sensitive financial information
