Job Description
Academic Anatomical Pathologist
Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program and McMaster University
Hamilton, Ontario
Applications are invited for an Anatomical Pathologist position in the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP), with an academic appointment in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University.
The successful candidate will have subspecialty expertise through a recognized fellowship, or at least five years practice experience in Breast Pathology, including related molecular/biomarker testing and reporting. Additional experience in Gynecological Pathology and Cytopathology is preferred. Strong surgical pathology and frozen section skills are required.
Applicants must hold certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent, in Anatomical or General Pathology, and be licensed or eligible to obtain medical licensure in the Province of Ontario.
The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment at a rank commensurate with their skills and experience. They will be expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. A commitment to academic scholarship in the areas of education, quality improvement, knowledge translation, innovation, and/or clinical/translational research is essential.
