King Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate and skilled Equine Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team on night shift. King Animal Hospital is a privately owned, state-of-the-art hospital serving both equine and small animal patients. Our 60,000 sq. ft. facility on 50 acres in King City, Ontario is equipped with advanced diagnostics and supported by a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Our equine service works alongside emergency and specialty teams, offering exposure to complex, rewarding cases in a supportive and fast-paced environment—day and night.

The Prospect – Night Shift

As an Equine RVT on our overnight team, you will play a critical role in patient care when it matters most. From monitoring hospitalized patients to assisting with emergency procedures, you will be an essential part of maintaining continuity of care through the night.

What You’ll Do

As an Equine RVT, you will:

- Provide attentive, high-quality overnight care to equine patients
- Assist veterinarians with emergency cases, diagnostics, and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical or urgent procedures as required
- Perform technical skills including blood draws, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Support and perform diagnostic testing (lab work, imaging, etc.)
- Safely handle and restrain horses for examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records (EzyVet, VetRadar)
- Communicate effectively with team members to support seamless patient care
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and well-being overnight
- Uphold hospital protocols and standards of care

What We’re Looking For

- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing with the OAVT




- 1+ year of equine or large animal experience
- Confidence working in a fast-paced or emergency environment
- Strong technical and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions overnight
- Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to learn
