Role Description

nThis is a full time, on-site Deputy Clerk/Community Engagement role based in Parry Sound, ON.n

The Deputy

nClerk/Community Engagement skilled will assist with managing municipal records, coordinating council meetings, maintaining public communication, and ensuring compliance with municipal regulations.

Duties include community outreach programs, public engagement initiatives, and fostering relationships with residents, stakeholders, and local organizations. The individual will also support administrative functions and collaborations with neighboring municipalities.n

Qualifications

Robust interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities
n
Proven experience in social work, social services, or community engagement
n
Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand and address community needs
n
Organizational and administrative experience with attention to detail
n
Proficiency in local government operations and service-oriented approaches is an asset
n
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience
n
Commitment to upholding transparency, accountability, and collaboration
n
