The Line/Prep Cook is an integral member of the Lone Oak Food Inc Back of House Team. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, the ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing food for our customers, performing basic cooking tasks, ensuring the quality and consistency of our dishes, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. This position requires a high level of culinary knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare ingredients according to recipes and portioning requirements

· Chop, slice, and dice vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as needed

· Measure and mix ingredients for recipes

· Set up and maintain an organized and clean work area

· Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures

· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

· Restock kitchen supplies and notify management of inventory needs

· Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment





· Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient preparation and service

· Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a prep or line cook in a restaurant or food service setting

· Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods

· Ability to follow recipes and portioning requirements

· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

· Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

· Basic math skills and the ability to accurately measure and portion ingredients

· Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures

· Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
