We’re hiring a hands-on Renewable Energy Systems Specialist (Minden, Ontario).

This is not a purely analytical role. You’ll work directly on real renewable heating systems—from design through installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. We’re looking for someone who has worked on physical systems (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or construction) and wants to take ownership of real projects in a small, high-performance team.

About the role

At Biothermic, we design, supply and support advanced wood heating systems across Canada. You’ll work directly with the company principal across the full lifecycle of projects—design, implementation, and client support.

This role is based in Minden, Ontario and requires being on-site. It’s best suited to someone intentionally seeking a smaller community workplace and a more grounded, practical working style.

What you’ll do

• Work on the design and development of renewable heating systems

• Solve real engineering and implementation challenges

• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting in the field





• Work directly with clients to solve problems

• Take ownership of workstreams and drive them through to completion

What we’re looking for

• Engineering, science, or related technical background

• Robust problem-solving ability applied to real systems (design, fieldwork, or operations)

• High ownership, initiative, and follow-through

• Comfortable working in both office and field environments

Strongly valued:

• Hands-on experience working on physical systems (installing, operating, troubleshooting, or repairing)

• Background in trades, fieldwork, or system operations

• Experience delivering or contributing to projects from concept through implementation

• Comfortable in small teams and ambiguous, quick-moving environments

Compensation

$65,000–$110,000 + bonus, benefits, and pension
