Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Supervisor to join our team at Petro-Canada in Headingley. This position is a key role in supporting the Store Manager, leading staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the gas station and convenience store.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and support front-line staff, ensuring company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures are followed.

- Oversee cashier operations, providing excellent customer service and resolving escalated customer concerns.

- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring products are stocked, rotated, and not past expiry.

- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with ordering to maintain accurate stock levels.

- Train new employees on cash register use, store procedures, customer service expectations, and health & safety rules.

- Ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met inside the store, at the pumps, and in washroom facilities.

- Assist the Manager with scheduling, delegating daily tasks, and tracking staff performance.

- Handle daily cash balance and safe drops in line with company procedures.

- Promote fuel and store sales through upselling and product knowledge.

- Respond to equipment or operational issues and report promptly to the Manager.

- Act as the Manager on duty in their absence.

Qualifications:

- Post secondary education in business administration.

- Previous retail, convenience store, or fuel station experience required; supervisory experience preferred

- Solid leadership, communication, and organization skills.





- Ability to handle cash accurately and operate POS Systems

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, especially weekends (we are open seven days a week).

- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

- Must have driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work as travel is required.

- Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons check and Child Abuse Registry check.

- Must possess excellent customer service skills.

- Must be trustworthy and reliable.

- Must be willing to submit to random drug testing.
