We are actively seeking a personal support worker to assist with all personal care for a private male employer who is living with quadriplegia.

He is friendly, easy-going, and is passionate about movies (especially deep storytelling) and video games! The employer also enjoys working on creative projects like writing.

The perfect candidate would be someone humorous and good at conversation.

Location:

- Gold River, BC

Shifts & Hours of Work:

- Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am to 2:00pm AND 5:00pm to 8:00pm (Split shift)

Compensation:

- $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Personal care such as bowel care, grooming, and showering
- Meal Preparation and feeding assistance
- Medical administration
- Physical and Ceiling Lift Transfers
- Light Housekeeping such as laundry

Required Qualifications:

- Must be physically fit for transfer (manual)
- 1 year of Caregiving / Community Support Work (preferred, no experience needed)
- New HCA graduates are welcome
- Flu shot
- Comfortable working in an environment with large dogs and cats
