Level 2 Mechanic Apprentice (310T) – School Buses

Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Level 2 310T Mechanic Apprentice to join our maintenance team in Haliburton. This is an excellent prospect for an apprentice looking to continue developing hands-on skills while working under the guidance of experienced licensed technicians. The successful candidate will assist with inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on school buses and related fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
Assist licensed technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of school buses and B-class vehicles
Perform preventative maintenance and routine service tasks
Assist with brake, safety, and scheduled vehicle inspections
Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately
Maintain a clean and protected work area
Follow all shop procedures, safety policies, and MTO regulations




Support the maintenance team as needed, including seasonal and on-call requirements

Qualifications
Registered Level 2 310T Mechanic Apprentice
Previous experience working on heavy-duty vehicles or school buses is an asset
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting moderate to heavy components
Basic computer skills for service records and diagnostics
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
