The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and caring Hairdresser to join our Beauty Shop team. In this role, you will provide salon services-including shampoos, cuts, colors, perms, sets, and barbering-to residents of Grand View Manor, as well as Orchard View and Fundy Villa tenants. This is more than a salon job-it's an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of seniors.

What You'll Do
Provide professional hairdressing services to residents and tenants
Schedule and manage resident appointments in coordination with care staff
Communicate with residents, families, and staff regarding preferences and needs
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and infection prevention standards in the Beauty Shop
Keep accurate service logs for billing purposes
Monitor and order supplies as needed
Foster a safe, welcoming, and comfortable setting for all clients





What You Bring
Valid General Hairdressing Certificate
Must hold a valid license with the Nova Scotia Cosmetology Association
Experience working with seniors (including those with Alzheimer's or related dementias) an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassion, patience, and respect for residents and families
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive time management and problem-solving skills
