Managing Director – Wealth Management

A highly successful and well-established wealth management firm based in Dorset is seeking a Managing Director to lead the business through its next phase of growth. This is a key succession hire, offering the opportunity to take full responsibility for an established, high‑performing practice with ambitious long‑term plans.

The Role

The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of the business. This includes overseeing day‑to‑day operations, driving growth initiatives, maintaining regulatory standards, and working closely with shareholders and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Developing and executing long‑term business strategy to drive revenue growth and profitability
Providing strategic guidance to the board and key stakeholders
Overseeing operational performance, financial planning, and budgeting
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and industry requirements
Leading, mentoring, and developing senior management and wider teams
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners,



and regulators
Driving a high‑performance culture across the organisation

The Candidate
Proven experience in a senior leadership or executive role within wealth management, financial services, or asset management
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving growth and business performance
Strategic thinker with the ability to lead through change and succession
Robust understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance within financial services
Confident stakeholder manager, able to engage with shareholders, advisers, and external partners
