Contribute to environmental sustainability as an Environmental Specialist dedicated to impactful community service. Guide compliance and promote conservation initiatives while working alongside various stakeholders.As an integral part of the Agriculture & Workplace Services team, you'll be the subject matter expert on environmental practices supporting County operations. Your role encompasses reviewing development proposals, conducting environmental assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will also oversee restoration projects and coordinate annual environmental monitoring and reporting.Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and review development referrals for compliance
Conduct Biophysical assessments effectively
Manage environmental conservation and restoration initiatives
Coordinate annual monitoring of County environmental projects
Provide technical support to departments on regulationsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or related
5–7 years of experience in environmental policy
Required designation as P.Ag. or P.Biol.
Proven project management and leadership skills
