The City of Côte Saint‑Luc is currently accepting applications to fill Coach positions for its Summer Swim Team for the 2026 summer swim season.
Program Description
The City of Côte Saint‑Luc Summer Swim Team trains indoors in a 10‑lane, 25‑metre pool from Monday to Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The team participates in competitions on Wednesdays and select Saturdays with other facilities that are members of the Northshore Aquatics Association (NAA). The program is composed of swimmers aged 7 to 16.
Profile Sought
The City is seeking candidates who demonstrate a strong passion for swimming, professionalism, enthusiasm, and respect, and who are capable of contributing to a positive, safe, and structured team environment that supports the development of young athletes.
Working Conditions
- Work schedule: Approximately 8 hours per week, plus competitions
- Employment type: Seasonal part‑time
- Compensation: To be discussed
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise structured training sessions for assigned groups.
- Follow direction and feedback provided by the Head Coach.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to maintain a motivating and engaging training environment.
- Promote team spirit and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
- Bilingualism (French and English), required.
- Availability and ability to travel to participating NAA pools (West Island).
- Experience with a swim team.
- Previous experience as a Summer Swim Team athlete or coach is considered an asset.
Note
You may be required to take a written competency test in French and English.
