Blue Wave Therapy is hiring! We are looking for an experienced Social Worker (MSW) with a passion for working with children, youth, and families to join our team on a part-time to full-time basis. Our clients are primarily between the ages of 6-24yrs, individuals, families and/or parents, but we are not limited to that scope.

We are a growing therapy clinic providing in person mental health services in Markham and surrounding communities and virtually throughout Ontario. We have a beautiful office in the charming Cornell Village located near Markham Stouffville Hospital. We are a growing team of licensed therapists who are passionate and driven to support the needs of our clients as well as each other.

Child, Youth and Family Therapist Requirements:
n
· Therapist applicant must have willingness to accept a combination of daytime, evening, and weekend clients.
n
· Therapist applicant must be willing to see clients out of our Markham-Cornell (16th Ave & Ninth Line) location as needed in addition to virtually from home office.
n
· Therapist applicant must be willing to see clients for walk and talk sessions (when weather permits) located near the Markham office.
n
· Therapist applicant must have the ability to commute to our Markham office, and to get to a from the walk and talk trail location nearby.
n
· Therapist applicant must be willing to work with individuals and families using a strength-based and skills-based approach through a variety of modalities.
n
* Full-time caseload is dependent on your ability to develop long lasting relationship and your flexibility to see clients based on their needs.
n
Qualifications:
n· Candidate must have graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work and be in good standing with The Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers. No Student's or practicum placements please.n
· At least 3 years of clinical therapy experience is required
n
· Therapy experience working with young children and families in a clinical setting
n
· Therapy experience working with youth and adolescents in a clinical setting
n
· Experience in Neurodiversity-affirming therapy (ADHD, ASD, LD, GAD and ODD)
n
· Experience with LGBTQ+ is an asset
n
· Experience practicing CBT and Trauma informed work is preferred
n
· Experience with Play Therapy or Art Therapy or other modalities working with children
n
· Experience with the Jane App Software is an asset
n
· Superior interpersonal, communication and written skills
n
· Provide criminal background check

· Carry professional liability insurance
