POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the shipping and receiving of grain in a safe and efficient manner as well as general yard maintenance.

n

DESCRIPTION:

nHaley’s Elevator Inc. requires a Grain Elevator Labourer. Duties include: assisting in shipping, storage and receiving of grain products; monitoring and assisting in loading and unloading of product from trucks and wagons; operating facility equipment and controls; yard maintenance and providing excellent customer service to farmers.n

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Shipping/receiving of grain products via truck and wagons
n
- Safe operations in all weather conditions
n
- Elevator/bin equipment troubleshooting, maintenance; and housekeeping
n
- Yard maintenace
n
- Truck washing / general maintenance
n
- Other routine duties as assigned
n

nSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:n





n
- Grade 12 education, preferred
n
- 1 year+ agriculture experience, preferred
n
- Mechanical aptitude, an asset
n
- Previous experience in grain handling, loading/unloading, an asset
n
- Able to work at heights and in all weather conditions- training provided
n
- Able to work shift work, weekends and holidays as necessary
n
- Able to lift/move up to 30lbs
n
- Proven communication and computer skills
n
- Motivated, organized and responsible
n
- Able to work independently and follow directions well
n
