The Uxbridge Youth Centre is looking for an energetic, creative, and community-minded individual to join our team as a Summer Program Facilitator through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

n

At the Uxbridge Youth Centre, we provide a free, protected, and inclusive drop-in space for youth ages 11+. Every day brings something new—from DIY crafts and cooking to sports, games, music, and workshops. This summer, we’re looking for someone who’s excited to bring their own passions, hobbies, and ideas to life by creating engaging programs for local youth.

What You’ll Do

nAs a Summer Program Facilitator, you will:n

n
- Supervise and support youth in a safe, welcoming drop-in environment
n
- Plan, organize, and lead daily programs and workshops for youth ages 11+
n
- Turn your interests (arts, sports, gaming, cooking, music, etc.) into fun, inclusive programming
n
- Encourage youth participation, creativity, and positive social interaction
n
- Assist with promoting programs through social media and outreach
n
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging youth space
n
- Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
n

nWhat We’re Looking For

- A creative, enthusiastic,



and responsible individual who enjoys working with youth
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to take initiative and bring new ideas forward
n
- Experience in leadership, recreation, or youth programming is an asset
n
- Enrollment in post-secondary education (any field) is an asset
n

nEligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs Program)n

Applicants must

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
n
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person (refugee status)
n
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
n

nAdditional requirements:nn
- Must be 18 years of age or older (due to insurance requirements)

- Must provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
n
