Location: DorchesternWe are currently seeking a SEND Tutor to join our dedicated team at our Dorchester Centre, based in Dorchester. This role is ideal for someone with a robust understanding of SEND, a flexible and learner-centred approach, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

n

Job Description:n– Prepare course/training materials

n

– Complete external paperwork as required in a timely manner

n

– Maintain the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria

n

– Complete learner and deliver paperwork as required promptly

n

– Teach wellbeing awareness

n

– To attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC

n

– To support learners with LDD/SEND in a variety of classroom settings

n

– To work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed

n

– To be aware of individual learners’ risk assessments and needs

n

– Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible

n

Person SpecificationnQualifications:nEssential:n– Recognised teaching qualification

n

– Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent/ GCSE level 4)

n

– Experience of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural difficulties

n





– Understanding of relevant polices /codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation

n

Knowledge:n– Ability to relate well to vulnerable young adults

– Understanding of behaviour management strategies

– General understanding of curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies
