Job Description

PRIMARY MISSION The Short-Term Planner is part of the Technical Services team and plays a key role in supporting short-term mine planning activities. He/she contributes to the preparation, updating, and monitoring of planning tools to ensure effective execution of production and development activities. Working closely with the Production Planner and the Planning Coordinator, he/she ensures data quality, maintains tracking tools, and supports operations in resolving day-to-day issues. The incumbent actively anticipates the continuous improvement of planning processes and ensures the delivery of reliable information for operational decision-making.n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the planning team in daily activities and respond to operational needs
- Participate in the development and updating of short-term development plans
- Verify survey plans and ensure compliance with operational requirements
- Ensure updating of databases and planning tools, including:
- Activity tracking (actuals)
- Compliance files
- Monthly variance tracking
- Updating the interactive dashboard and associated systems
- Conduct underground site visits to validate field conditions and support planning
- Manage and follow up on operational communications
- Perform month-end engineering activities




- Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes in MDM, including:
- Workflow optimization
- Development and updating of process maps
- Comply with, understand, and promote company policies and regulations, particularly regarding health and safety
- Perform any other related duties required for the role

QUALIFICATIONS n

- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Mining Engineering
- 0 to 3 years of experience in mine planning or underground mining environment
- Knowledge of underground mining operations
- Experience with Deswik software
- Mining modules (1 to 5 and 7)
- Bilingualism (French/English) – an asset
