Salary: $18.00/hour + vacation pay

Job Type: Seasonal

nShift and Schedule: 7 hours per day – 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday)n

Work Location: In Person

nJob Summary The Carleton Place Youth Centre is a community-based organization focused on helping children and youth is surrounding communities. We aim to provide a safe and healthy environment for young people to have fun, learn and grow. Throughout the summer, you will be responsible for guiding children ages 8-15 years old through various of camp activities.n

You will be expected to attend training before camp. Your job will be focused around being a role model for campers and helping volunteers at the camp as needed. We are looking for someone who is energetic, loves spending times outdoors with children and works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Leading various camp activities throughout the day
n
- Administering First Aid if needed
n
- Must be able to maintain a fun and safe workplace for all campers
n
- Must be able to be a good role model for children and youth
n
- Help with snack prep as needed.
n




- Assist the Program Coordinator with additional tasks as needed.
n
- Participate in staff training
n
- Excels in working with others
n
- Be conformable in interacting with campers partners after and before camp.
n

nExperience:n

n
- Experience with Youth preferred, or enrolled in Post-Secondary education with a focus on Youth.
n

nRequirements:n

n
- Must be at least 18 years old
n
- Must have a valid First Aid and CPR, Police and Vulnerable Sector Records check.
n
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
n
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
n

nAdditional Certifications (optional)n

- Food handler’s certification
n

nExpected Start date: 2026-06-29nJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonaln

Contract length: 8 weeks

nPay: $18.00 per hourn
