Fortin's is a local, family-owned business that has been part of the community since 1946. We supply automotive/industrial products and are a part of Home Hardware. Fortin's currently has stores in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Hope.
We are currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to fill a full-time Dispatcher position in Chilliwack.
We are now accepting applications from individuals who can demonstrate the ability to multitask in a rapid-paced workplace. The successful applicant must be a team player and detailed-oriented.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities include (but are not limited to):
Coordinate our delivery drivers
Arrange and prioritize pick-ups and deliveries
Computer literate
Ability to work in a team environment
Contact customers on delivery status when necessary
Act as a communications hub between the sales team and the driving team
Able and willing to lift 50lbs
Follow safe working procedures
Order picking
Data Entry
Detail Oriented
Organization skills
Accountable, and able to hold others accountable
Excellent Communication and Leadership skills
What does the job look like?
Our dispatcher picks parts to fill customer orders for both delivery and pickup.
They supervise and coordinate our driving team for both local deliveries and warehouse pickups. They notify customers and our sales team of any issues with an order. They also assist with data entry, among other things. Mainly picking and coordinating deliveries!
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am-5:30 pm, and must be able to accommodate this schedule. Must also be available for occasional Saturday work as needed.
