Become a Seniors Program Coordinator with the Town of Deep River, where you'll create part time programs that enhance active living and community engagement for seniors.
This role reports to the Recreation & Culture Manager and focuses on managing initiatives for the Seniors Active Living Centre. Ideal candidates will have experience working with older adults and skills in recreation programming. You will play a vital part in ensuring seniors have opportunities for social interaction and ongoing learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage programs promoting healthy and active lifestyles
• Encourage social interaction among community seniors
• Develop learning opportunities through workshops and events
Requirements:
• Ontario Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Background in social services, geriatrics, or recreation preferred
• Experience with older adult programming
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Proficiency in office administration and event coordination
