Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our family dental practice 2 days a week. We are located on the Rideau River in Merrickville Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset with the ability to build good patient relationships and encourage continuing care. This role requires a robust commitment to patient comfort and preventive care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other staff members in a team-oriented environment.

Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, with a gentle touch
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Utilize Cleardent software for patient record management and appointment scheduling.
- Provide support and ensure a comfortable experience for all patients.




- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
- Participate actively in the growth of the hygiene schedule.
- Recall/ Hygiene schedule management.

Qualifications

- Valid dental hygiene license in Ontario Canada.
- Experience working in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with orthodontics is a plus.
- Knowledge of Cleardent or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
