We are currently recruiting for a Casual Community Support Worker to assist our female employer on the autism spectrum with community engagement and activities in the North Saanich region.

Location:

- North Saanich (Schwartz Bay Ferry)

Shifts and Hours:

- Mondays from 9am-2pm
- Possibility for additional hours during the week

Compensation

- $28.00 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Support Worker will need to plan, execute, and organize all attended activities in the community with support from the agency Program Manager.
- Assisting with cutting food up into smaller pieces and monitoring while eating and consuming fluids.
- Support Worker will assist individual in maintaining friendships and assistance with making day-to-day decisions.
- Support workers focus on prompting and encouragement for individual to perform routine tasks.
- Must be comfortable staying at the individuals home for the duration of the shift and engaging her in at home activities
- Must be comfortable driving individual around in vehicle to community locations
- Must be physically fit and able to walk 5-10kms on a flat trail near her home

Required Qualifications:

- Community Support Worker experience preferred
- Current NVCI or Mandt training preferred
- BC Class 5 driver's license required, drivers abstract and access to a safe, reliable vehicle




- Calm and outgoing demeanor
- Must be fully vaccinated
- Strong communication skills
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
