Job Duties.
Work within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice as set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario Nurse Practitioner Standards Perform comprehensive health assessments within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner's role Formulates and communicates medical diagnoses Provides acute and episodic care Liaise on and collaborate with families and community stakeholders Consults with a physician in accordance with the standards for consultation with physicians, and/or refers the patient to another health care professional Recommends and facilitates referrals to other services as well as communication and networking between the primary care practice and the hospital.
