What We Offer
We offer a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary range of $75,000 – $85,000, based on your experience and skills.

The Opportunity
The Marketing & Communications Department is responsible for developing and ensuring consistency of brand and core messages, developing and implementing marketing & communications strategies and plans that will help to drive fundraising efforts for Richmond Hospital Foundation, and playing a leadership role with respect to publicly profiling the positive attributes of health care in Richmond.
Creating philanthropic impact is one of our core values. The Marketing & Communications Department supports the work of the Philanthropy and Donor Relations departments with collateral, activities, and experiences focused on inspiring joyful giving, expressing gratitude, and sharing impact. We seek to delight, inspire, and engage donors, prospects, and partners through traditional and digital communications, physical recognition, and in-person gatherings.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager plays a key role in shaping how donors and prospects experience and engage with our organization. This position leads our digital presence across web, social, email, and paid channels, ensuring our stories, campaigns, and donor-focused messages are delivered with clarity, creativity, and impact, consistent with the Foundation's tone and mission.
The Digital Marketing Manager manages the website, oversees social media strategy and execution,
and drives digital campaigns that strengthen awareness and inspire support. They leverage data analytics to inform decision-making, optimizing engagement strategies and campaign effectiveness to achieve maximum impact. The role also supports broader marketing initiatives, from campaign planning to content creation, and helps build a solid story bank for impactful storytelling. This role works closely with the Marketing Manager and ensures that our target audience feels engaged, inspired, and informed about their giving to Richmond Hospital Foundation—ultimately connected to the purpose and impact.
The successful candidate brings a strategic, creative, and data-informed approach to their work, connecting digital tactics to broader organizational goals while crafting compelling, donor‑focused stories that inspire and engage. They are proactive, hands-on, and thrive in collaborative environments. They build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to deliver high‑quality, impact‑driven content that resonates with the demographics. With strong project and time‑management skills, they navigate multiple priorities with adaptability and resourcefulness, ensuring every initiative is executed with clarity, purpose, and measurable results.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Digital Marketing
- Leads and manages all digital channels, including website, SEO, Google Ads, and paid/organic social campaigns, ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s goals to enhance brand visibility and donor engagement
- Maintains and curates website content to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and a strong user experience
- Oversees social media strategy, content creation, scheduling, and community engagement, driving an integrated approach that supports overall marketing and fundraising objectives
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports on digital KPIs to guide decision‑making and optimize performance
Marketing & Communications
- Plans and executes marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team, including message development and email marketing
- Writes and edits donor‑focused content for web, email, and social media maintaining consistent brand messaging
- Develops and organizes a grateful patient story bank, providing compelling narratives that align with strategic goals to deepen donor relationships and enhance engagement
- Coordinates with external partners such as designers, writers, and direct‑mail vendors to produce high‑quality materials
Video & Photo Production
- Curates, produces, and manages visual assets including videos and photography, ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s storytelling objectives and visual identity
- Coordinates shoots with photographers and videographers to capture compelling content
- Maintains an organized, searchable photo and video library to support marketing and storytelling needs
- Attends, volunteers and participates in Foundation events as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Post‑secondary education in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing or communications, ideally within a nonprofit
- Demonstrated experience managing websites, social media channels, and digital campaigns (SEO, Google Ads, paid social)
- Proficiency with CMS platforms, social media tools, and basic design or layout software (e.g., Meta, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Expert with analytics tools (GA4, social insights, dashboards) and the interpretation of data to guide decisions
- Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Raiser’s Edge NXT, Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Proven track record in writing and editing content for digital platforms, including email, web, and social media
- Demonstrated experience with basic video editing, asset management, or visual content production
- Experience with RENXT or a similar CRM system an asset
- Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin considered an asset
- Able to work outside of normal business hours as required
- Experience in non-profits and/or health care philanthropy preferred

- Exercises tact, discretion and good judgment when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters with a high degree of integrity and professionalism
