Contractor Sales – Portage la Prairie

Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for building relationships? McMunn & Yates is looking for a Contractor Sales expert to join our growing team in Portage la Prairie, MB. The Opportunity

As a Contractor Sales professional, you'll be the main point of contact for our customers, driving sales of lumber and building materials in both residential and commercial markets. Your exceptional service and seamless collaboration with internal departments will be key to your success and our customers' satisfaction. By actively visiting customers and potential leads with a strategic, value-driven approach, you'll not only boost sales but also strengthen McMunn & Yates' position as the go-to supplier for contractors.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Drive sales by preparing timely and accurate estimates for our customers.
- Translate customer needs from blueprints and project plans into actionable material lists.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, managing their accounts and providing expert product knowledge.
- Identify and pursue new sales leads and opportunities to grow your portfolio.
- Ensure special order products are sourced correctly and efficiently.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and market changes to better serve our customers and team.

What We're Looking For

- An individual with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.




- A collaborative team player who also works well independently.
- Someone with strong communication skills, capable of building lasting customer relationships.
- Experience in sales, estimating, or the building materials industry is a strong asset.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints or construction plans is highly valued.
