We are seeking a talented Cake Decorator to join our team at Velvet Desserts and Creamery in Wallaceburg. Previous experience of working at a bakery shop or an ice-cream place would be preferrable. Based at our convenient location, you will play a key role in creating beautiful and delicious cakes that delight our customers and enhance their experience with us.
Responsibilities
Decorate cakes with artistic designs and attention to detail.
Prepare bakery items according to recipes and quality standards.
Assist in food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ensure food safety and proper handling at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and understanding their needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Pack baked goods for display or sale.
Support team members in daily bakery operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in cake decorating or pastry arts.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
Robust attention to detail and artistic skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent customer service skills.
Previous kitchen or bakery experience is preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to assist with various bakery tasks as needed.
