This program is designed to provide motivated, community-oriented individuals with the opportunity to train at the Holland College Atlantic Police Academy in Prince Edward Island (PEI) and pursue a rewarding career in law enforcement with the Bathurst Police Force.

Program Overview:

- The City of Bathurst has reserved seats for candidates at the Holland College Atlantic Police Academy in PEI.
n
- Candidates must successfully pass the Academy’s admission process to secure a seat.
n
- Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will enter a paid On-the-Job Training (OJT) program with the Bathurst Police Force.
n
- Following successful completion of OJT and graduation, candidates will be offered full-time employment with the Bathurst Police Force.
n
- A two-year return-of-service agreement is required upon hiring.

nCandidate Responsibilities:n

- Financial Responsibility: The City covers the cost of tuition at the Academy. However, candidates are responsible for their own living expenses during the program.

- Bilingual Requirement: Candidates must be fluent in both French and English, spoken and written.

- Commitment: Candidates must demonstrate integrity, dedication, resourcefulness, and a strong sense of community service.
