Role Description The Recreational Programs Coordinator works under the direction of the Club General Manager and will be supervised for some job activities by the Recreational Program Manager.

n

● Prior to our May 30 program start date all hours (35 weekly) will be required to be worked in-office

n

● Beginning May 30, required hours of work: ○ Approximately 14 hours weekly will be required at the Charmaine Hooper soccer fields, assisting with on-field coordination of our recreational programs; from 5:15-8:15 PM Monday-Thursday and 8:30-11:30 AM on Saturday mornings. ○ Approximately 21 hours weekly will be spent in-office; flexibility in the schedule for what days and hours will be worked in-office is available.

● Attend and assist with organization of coach education sessions for recreational program coaches which will be held leading up to season-start

n

● Provide support as needed in our Soccer in Schools program and other community programming initiatives

n

● Respond to inquiries received by phone and email

n





● Assist current and prospective members with registration for Club programs

n

● Assist the Club Registrar in registering and de-registering recreational team officials and players in the Ontario Soccer (OS) registration database per registration policies

n

● Create teams and assign officials and players to teams in the Club database (PowerUp)

n

● Assist the Club Registrar in confirming all team officials have completed their required courses, screening and licenses before team assignment

n

● Prepare uniforms and equipment for distribution in coordination with the Club Equipment Manager and Recreational Program Manager

n

● Assist the Recreational Program Manager with the setup and tear down of equipment for all program sessions (evenings and Saturday mornings)

n

● Assist or substitute for recreational coaches in training sessions and games as required

n

● Provide a FUN, inclusive and engaging environment and learning experience for players.

n

● Act as Club ambassador and point of contact at the field for all families in our recreational program to promote the Club and its programs in a meaningful and positive way

n

● Coordinate and assist with planning for our end-of-season festival

n

● Liaise with league organizers to ensure coaches and families have necessary up-to-date information about league play and schedules

n





● Organize and input team schedules in our registration platform

n

● Assist in the execution of social media, communications, and marketing initiatives in conjunction with our Communications and Operations Coordinator

n

● Other tasks as assigned by the General Manager or Recreational Program Manager

n

Qualifications

n● Completion of: Learn to Train coaching certification, Understanding the Rule of Two, Making Headway in Soccer, Emergency Action Planning & Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders. (Preferred; can be acquired after appointment to position)n

● Level 3: Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check required. (Can be acquired after appointment to the position)

n

● Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 40lbs

n

● Relevant office administration experience

n

● Experience working with Google Suite, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite

n

● Technologically adept and able to learn new systems quickly

n

● Experience as a coach or camp counsellor is considered an asset

n

● Experience following SOPs and interpreting and implementing policies and rules

n

● Excellent customer service skills

n

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

n

● Excellent organizational skills

n

● Responsible and reliable

n

● The ability to juggle shifting priorities in a rapid-paced environment

n

● Self-motivated team-player mentality with effective interpersonal skills

n
