Experienced Trailer Assembler – Full Time.
Location: St. Marys, Ontario.
Status: Must have a valid Canadian work permit.

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking for experienced Trailer Assemblers to join our St. Marys facility.
Position Summary:
The Experienced Trailer Assembler is responsible for the complete and accurate assembly of Platinum Trailers grain trailers , including mechanical, structural, and basic electrical components. The successful candidate will have several years of hands-on experience in trailer/building assembly, truck body upfitting, agricultural equipment assembly, or a closely related trade.
This is an in office, hands-on position . Candidates must have reliable transportation to our St. Marys location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install trailer components, sub-assemblies, and systems according to engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
- Install and route air lines, hydraulic lines, and electrical wiring.
- Perform mechanical fit-up, alignment, drilling, tapping, and fastening of structural and mechanical parts.
- Use hand and power tools (impacts, drills, grinders, rivet guns, torque wrenches, etc.) safely and efficiently.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Conduct basic functional checks (lights, brakes, moving components) and troubleshoot common assembly issues.
- Work collaboratively with other assemblers, welders, and supervisors to meet quality and production targets.
- Maintain a clean,
organized work area and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Canadian work permit.
- 3+ years of verifiable experience in trailer assembly, truck body/upfitting, agricultural or industrial equipment assembly, fabrication, or a related mechanical trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to assemble complex products from drawings.
- Proficient with a wide range of hand and power tools; comfortable working with steel and aluminum components.
- Experience with 12V trailer wiring (routing harnesses, crimping, connections, basic troubleshooting) is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurements accurately.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship , attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Basic/intermediate proficiency communicating in English.
Assets (Not Required, But an Advantage):
- Experience building grain, dump, livestock, or flatbed trailers.
- Background in truck/trailer repair, farm equipment, or heavy equipment assembly.
- Basic welding or fabrication experience.
- Valid forklift or overhead crane certification.
