The successful candidate will undergo a unique immersion period that ensures they are fully integrated into the 22DOGS DNA before taking the reins in Toronto.Phase 1: The Tenerife Residency (April – August) You will start your journey at our sun-drenched Tenerife studio. During this five-month residency, you will serve as theLead VFX Supervisoron a flagship series forApple TV+. This period is critical for:Mastering the 22DOGS internal pipeline and culture.Leading a high-performing team through the delivery of complex, premium episodic shots.Establishing a direct rapport with network executives and production stakeholders.Phase 2: The Toronto Launch (August Onward) Upon returning to Canada, you will transition into theHead of VFX for the Toronto Studio. You will be the face of 22DOGS in the Ontario market, responsible for:Architecting the local studio culture and hiring a “dream team” of Canadian talent.Overseeing the operational and creative growth of the Toronto branch.Driving business development and nurturing long‑term partnerships with local and international clients.Detailed Key Responsibilities 1. Creative & Technical SupervisionProject Leadership:Act as the ultimate creative authority for the Toronto studio,



ensuring every frame meets the “world‑class” 22DOGS standard.On-Set & Studio Supervision:Lead VFX discussions during pre‑production, principal photography (where required), and throughout post‑production.Compositing Excellence:Leverage your deep background in compositing to guide the 2D department, troubleshooting complex integrations and aesthetic challenges.2. Studio Building & Strategic GrowthTalent Acquisition:Identify, recruit, and retain top‑tier VFX talent in the Toronto market. You will define the hiring strategy for artists, leads, and production staff.Operational Setup:Work with the global CTO and Head of Production to ensure the Toronto infrastructure and pipeline are optimized for high‑capacity workflows.Culture Architect:Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑energy studio environment that mirrors the 22DOGS philosophy of “creativity through community.”3. Mentorship & Quality ControlArtist Development:Mentor junior and mid‑level artists, creating clear career paths and professional growth opportunities within the studio.Workflow Optimization:Continuously evaluate studio workflows to identify efficiencies, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget without compromising quality.Required Skills and Qualifications We are looking for a rare combination ofartistic brillianceandentrepreneurial grit .Professional Tenure:8+ years of experience in the VFX industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership or supervisory role (VFX Supervisor, DFX Supervisor, or Head of 2D).The “2D Eye”:A master-level background inCompositing (Nuke). You must have an impeccable eye for light, color, and seamless integration.Premium Portfolio:A proven track record of delivering high‑end visual effects for major streaming platforms (Apple TV+,
