About the Chance
A growing litigation law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with experience in personal injury matters. This full-time role offers the prospect to work on a variety of personal injury and commercial litigation files within a collaborative legal environment. The successful candidate will handle legal research, drafting, negotiations, and client communication while supporting the litigation process from file intake to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and opposing counsel
Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and review medical records
Attend case conferences, Examinations for Discovery, mediations, motions, and hearings
Negotiate settlements and assist with file resolution
Apply the Rules of Civil Procedure and Statutory Accident Advantages Schedule (SABS) effectively
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of post-call litigation experience.
Member in positive standing with the Law Society of Ontario
Solid legal research, analytical, and drafting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
