As a Shop Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence, building strong teams, and delivering the exceptional customer experience that Craftsman Collision is known for.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily shop operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Provide coaching, direction, and support to a diverse team of technicians, estimators, and coordinators.
- Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and customer care.
- Manage shop financials, KPIs, payroll, and vendor relationships.
- Promote Craftsman Collision in the community and support business development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, company policies, and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered
- Strong understanding of operations, budgeting, and expense management
- I-CAR Platinum certification would be an asset
- 5 years of progressive and/or related experience, including experience in sales, customer service,
management or leadership would be an asset
- Proficiency in Mitchell Estimating, Audatex, ALLDATA is preferred but not required
- Knowledge and proficiency in ADAS systems, vehicle calibrations, and emerging vehicle technologies is preferred
- Strong verbal, written and listening skills, combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision-makers
- Demonstrated aptitude to prioritize tasks based on comparative importance and urgency
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proven experience effectively leading a team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated time management, problem solving, critical thinking and sound judgement skills
- Solid interpersonal skills with customer service-oriented attitude
- Proficient in Outlook and video conferencing platforms with the ability and willingness to learn new applications
- Demonstrated desire and aptitude for learning and development
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract over the last 3 years
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restriction
- Ability to travel occasionally within Canada and to the US for company functions
