Cariboo Pulp is currently recruiting for an4th or 3rd Class Power Engineer.nReporting to the Shift Engineer, the power engineer is responsible for ensuring consistent operations of Steam Plant equipment. As a member of this high performing team you will also be responsible for working safely within the pulp mill.

You'll Do

n

n
- Maintaining a safe work environmentn
n
- Ensuring consistent operations of the Steam Plant in a pulp milln
n
- Work towards achieving operating target goalsn
n
- Facilitating the reliable supply of services to the milln
n
- Operating in a shift crewn
n
- Operating a wide variety of equipment including:n

n
- Power/package boilersn
n
- Turbo-generatorsn

n
- Chemical recovery boilern
n
- Recaust & Lime Kilnn

n
- Evaporators and concentratorsn
n
- Water treatment and Effluent treatment plantsn
n
- Hog conveyors and outside services etc.n

n

nYou Haven

n
- Experience as a power engineer with increasing responsibility
n
- A 4th or 3rd class power engineering certificate
n
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
n
- Strong organizational and communication skills
n
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
n
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
n
- Desire to progress, learn, grow, and succeed
n
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
n

nCompensation Package

n
- The hourly pay rate for this position will follow the collective agreement between Unifor 1115 and Cariboo Pulp Ltd. The current starting rate in the department is $35.30/hour.
n
