This full-time role reports to the Fire Chief and involves managing personnel, labor relations, and operational activities across divisions. Responsibilities include integrating strategic planning with emergency operations and maintaining compliance with legislation and departmental policies. Robust candidates will be able to evaluate and command incidents as required while advancing community risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and monitor annual departmental plans and budget
• Ensure compliance with policies and operational standards
• Manage operating and capital project expenditures
• Advance community risk reduction strategies continually
• Lead training and modernization initiatives across all divisions
Requirements:
• Certificate or diploma in Fire Services or Emergency Management
• 5–7 years of fire and rescue experience
• 3 years in a supervisory role required
• Knowledge of Incident Management System (IMS)
• Ontario Fire College Certification preferred
