Job Description In this exciting and rewarding role, you will invigorate excellence in your team, motivating and engaging them to surpass their targets. As a customer‑centric leader, you will prioritize the needs of our valued customers while employing strategic thinking to foster a strong team culture conducive to achieving and exceeding sales and cost‑to‑serve targets.

In addition to your managerial responsibilities, you will also play an integral part as a Beauty Specialist. Your expertise in advising customers on products, application techniques, and the latest trends will enable them to make informed choices that align with their unique styles. By providing comprehensive information, advice, application guidance, and instruction on beauty products offered by Superstore’s beauty department, you will drive sales growth while maintaining exceptional levels of customer satisfaction.

What you will do

Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the beauty department





Ensure the department meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals

Manage departmental expenses, shrink and labour

Communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to ensure store‑wide goals are met

Possess a “selling is fun” attitude

Build customer loyalty through follow‑up and repeat business

Promote sales of beauty products; provide information on new or existing products and conduct demonstrations

Train and develop department colleagues in customer service, product knowledge and merchandising

Seek out development opportunities such as workshops, education sessions, the Academy, vendor schools, YouTube, etc., to keep product knowledge current

Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed and priced appropriately

Maintain a clean and safe department for customers and colleagues

Be constantly on the lookout for outstanding talent to join our team

Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to improve productivity, engagement and retention

Be committed to maintaining merchandising and operational standards

Build and lead diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What you bring

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred

Previous retail management experience, preferably in a beauty department

Proven consultative skills to provide information, advice and guidance to customers on Superstore’s beauty products

Sales experience with a proven track record

Ability to conduct sit‑down makeup and skincare consultations and demonstrate application

Strong communication skills to make presentations and instruct individuals and groups on the use of cosmetics

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop associates

Excellent organizational and time‑management skills

Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Knowledge of retail operations,



including merchandising, inventory management and customer service

Commitment to providing excellence in customer service

Physical Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Punctual and reliable

Ability to work in a fragrance‑filled environment

Ability to climb ladders

Ability to bend and stretch to stock shelves
