Job Responsibilities

- Develops, implements and administers cost‑effective benefits programs such as pension plans and life, health, and disability insurance. May also administer the organization’s Employee Assistance Program.
- May also be required to be a subject matter expertise in the area of Disability Management and Attendance Support to ensure timely and effective case management.
- Assist our Plan Members with day‑to‑day medical and dental claims and health benefit‑related questions.
- Audit retirement plan eligibility and participant data such as employee and employer contributions; resolve discrepancies within system and with record‑keeper.
- Benefit plan administration.
- Special projects as needed such as file feed enhancements, managing/auditing data, testing.
- Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
- Work with broader HR team, auditors, finance team, legal, and actuaries on various retirement items.
- Process life insurance claims.

Job Requirements

- Post secondary in Business, Human Resources or related field.
- A minimum of 3‑5 years of experience working with employee benefits.
- Advanced MS Office skills (e.g.,



proficiency in Excel to include using pivot tables, v‑look ups and the mail merge feature in Word).
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed and customer‑service oriented.
