Job Summary: In this key leadership role, the Operations Director will work in collaboration with the Vice President, Clinical & CNE, Operations Directors, Medical Directors, Department Chiefs, and managers to lead, innovate and grow the Maternal, Newborn, Child & Youth & Allied Health Programs. The Director oversees a comprehensive suite of programs including birthing unit, postpartum inpatient unit, NICU, paediatrics inpatient unit, child & youth ambulatory care, allied health and rehabilitation services. Success requires real‑time problem solving, continuous improvement and operational performance enhancement. The ideal candidate has a background in healthcare and operations, proficiency in implementing solutions to complex clinical challenges.

What You’ll Do

Drive strategic growth and innovation by evolving business strategies, performance metrics and operational goals for the programs.

Foster dynamic partnerships and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Shape the future of healthcare facilities by contributing to campus planning and design.

Cultivate a high‑performing team through mentoring and development.

Provide effective leadership to support clinical decision making and patient care.

Collaborate with community partners and Ontario Health to advance patient care across the continuum.

Plan and coordinate patient care services to ensure exceptional experiences.

Manage all financial and human resources within the program.





Ensure quality performance standards are met.

Promote a patient and staff safety culture.

Develop and implement the annual operating plan based on the organization's strategic plan.

Lead multiple teams and projects in operations, service delivery, policy development and accurate modeling and forecasting.

Support the purpose of providing efficient, patient‑centred care.

What We’re Looking For Education

Master’s Degree in a health‑related discipline or administration preferred, or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.

Regulated Health Skilled or Professional Designation preferred.

Experience

5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a complex acute care environment, managing multidisciplinary teams and projects across operations, patient care, service delivery, policy development and integrated care planning.

Proactive advocate for transformation and strategic decision‑making; adept at managing change.

Demonstrated excellence in building relationships, fostering collaboration and mentoring peers.

Proven experience in policy and program development, stakeholder relations, collaboration with government entities and strong understanding of clinical service delivery, finance and data.

Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, and experience leading service delivery models and best practices in patient flow/transition planning.

Financial acumen, statistical analysis, labour relations, strategic planning, goal setting and customer service skills required.

Strong change agent for people‑first culture.
