The Senior Estimator is responsible for overseeing the quotation department that entails large project quotations, smaller job quotations, and careful communication with customers on scheduled delivery timetables. The Senior Estimator must have extensive experience in quoting electrical job packages, strong relationships with our customer base, and sharing of relationship knowledge and pricing with the Regional Sales Manager. The Senior Estimator reports to Regional Sales Manager. Responsibilities & Duties

Submission of quotations based on publicly shared job tenders Deciphering bill of materials and matching with product that EWEL represents Strategic pricing of quoted jobs Strong communication skills with customers to define clear shipping dates, and product being quoted Tactful handling of delays in shipping from vendors, or readiness of customers to accept delivery Supporting the Senior Estimator in a similar fashion on larger job quotes Administrative tasks such as order loaded when a P.O. is received from a customer Communication with vendors that is concise and clear, to ensure correct goods are being supplied in a timely fashion Oversight of all other members of this department to ensure profitability of the department, skill development of department members in conjunction with the Employee Development Manager, and an ongoing ability to learn market trends and code changes Qualifications & Ideal Skills

This position demands a friendly, helpful attitude, an outgoing personality, and the capability to work with a team in a fast-paced sales environment. The Senior Estimator will have:



Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical wholesale industry specifically related to job quotations Extensive product knowledge in all areas of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical sales is required Strong customer service skills and written communication skills in English. Extremely high level of attention to detail is required Working knowledge of computerized inventory control systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Can read and interpret complex engineering documents such as blueprints, bill of materials, manufacturer product specifications Can read and interpret invoices, manuals, specification sheets, and instructions. Ability to multitask is beneficial. Sales management experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. ERP Responsibilities

Manages their own queues: Calling Queue, Will Call Queue, Trouble Queue, In-Process Orders Queue, User Job Queue (trackers). Monitors queues of other team members when they are on vacation or absent for extended periods (to be arranged as needed). Benefits
