The Senior Architectural Design Technologist will contribute to all stages of project development, working with consultants in completing various project deliverables. The responsibilities will include conception, design-to-fit customer needs, and team collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creation, design, and execution of projects in Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development and tender packages.

Development of innovative and functional design solutions and processes.

Identify specific needs on architectural guidelines for new subdivisions.

Creating CAD drawings, along with compiling specifications, cost estimates, and material quantity lists based on initial design concepts and instructions.

Building architectural and display models, as well as developing three-dimensional virtual models to visualize architectural designs effectively.

Design new homes, new elevations and site plans.

Coordination with Purchasing and Marketing departments.





Release drawings to Purchasing department.

Support the Marketing department in preparation of marketing materials.

Contribute to the review of the drawing packages for accuracy, design integrity and code compliance.

Organize and present current ideas to stakeholders.

Quantity take offs and estimating as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE Required

3-5 years experience designing in the residential construction industry.

Beneficial

ArchiCAD software an asset.

Expert level knowledge in using Revit.

Experience interpreting & understanding Building Code & zoning bylaws

Commercial designing an asset.

EDUCATION Required

Bachelor's degree in Architecture

Bachelor's degree in Design and Technical Production
