Our team of creative engineers and analysts delivers high-quality engineering solutions and consulting services to solve complex technical challenges.About the Opportunity Our growing company is seeking energetic, positive, and reliable Engineers/Analysts to perform FEA stress analysis and provide support to our customers, structural integrity assessments, as well as fitness-for-service evaluation of pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, supports, piping, and other nuclear industry-related structural and pressure boundary components using CSA/ASME/API codes and standards. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team that provides comprehensive engineering services in the above areas. The individual should be aware of the business and operational aspects associated with equipment design and analysis.We are currently hiring at two levels:Engineer / Analyst– 3–4 years of relevant experience in Nuclear industrySenior Engineer– 10+ years of relevant experience in Nuclear industryResponsibilitiesConduct structural integrity assessments as per CSA/ASME/API codes and standards to validate the design and performance of pressure equipment under various loads and operating conditions.Stress analysis of nuclear and non-nuclear mechanical systems related to CANDU nuclear generating stations. The analysis can be static and/or dynamic (seismic, pressure and temperature transients,



etc.).Linear and nonlinear finite element analysis.Fitness for service assessment of pressure vessels to support a safe and continuous operation of the station.Outage support including but not limited to inspection scope of work, stress analysis, vibration analysis, and fracture mechanics assessment for postulated flaws.Preparation of design report and related design registration documentation.Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement design improvements.Skills / QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineExperience in nuclear, oil & gas, or pressure equipment industries preferredUnderstanding of fundamental theories in continuum mechanics, dynamics, mechanical vibrations, metal fatigue, fracture mechanics, fluid structure interaction.Experience in performing finite element stress analysis using software such as ANSYS (Workbench/MAPDL), LSDYNA, ABAQUS CAE.Proven experience in utilizing Compress or PV Elite software for pressure vessel design and analysis.In depth knowledge of codes and standards, in particular CSA N285.0, N286.7 and N289 as well as ASME Section III Subsections NB, NC, ND, NF,



ASME B31.1 and ASME Section VIII.Good understanding and experience with API 579-1 FFS and its application.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability in preparing technical reports and deliverables from problem description and solution to successful conclusion.Past experience that supports ASME Section III Appendix XXIII Qualification for Design Report is considered an asset.Experience in the nuclear power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical industries.Experience or knowledge of CANDU nuclear power plant reactor components (specifically primary heat transport, feeders, fuel channel, calandria, etc.) will be valued.Candidates must hold a P.Eng. designation or be eligible to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
